Oil

Currently I live in Hawaii. We have always had high gas prices relative to most of the US. With Katrina, the tables were briefly turned and people may have realized how living such a drive happy lifestyle is truly expensive. I love driving around the mainland, it is truly a weakness. Luckily, being in Hawaii and owning only a bike, I am unable to live the wasteful life I desire. But, it is fulfilling to almost get killed everyday riding your bike to work while so many people throw money down the drain in big cars/trucks.

America needs to rethink some of its city planning. Why is it like it is and so many people complain because they have to commute to work. People let the city die instead of utilizing its efficiences.

Daft Punk-Human after all...does kick ass...thanks sar.

glad u liked it.

a lot of the whole driving thing is cultural. bigger is better in america. we love space. we love access, convenience, freedom.

suburban planning (with free standing houses, lawns, strip malls), cars, and 5 lane highways provide for that.

im getting rid of my car in may.
